Program Income Limits

Newtown's Credit Counseling, Financial Coaching, and Homebuyer Education programs are available to everyone, regardless of income level.

However, some of our programs are specifically designed to serve individuals and households who earn less than the median income in our area.

Our down-payment assistance programs, IDA and WISH, are for households whose annual gross income (before taxes) is 78% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Most of our CLT homes can be sold only to households whose annual gross income (before taxes) is 80% or less of the AMI.

Some of our CLT home resales can be sold to households whose annual gross income (before taxes) is 120% or less of the AMI. When available, those houses are noted on our sale listings.

For your convenience, the current program limits, based on the AMI calculated annually by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), are listed below.
